Residential Demolition
House demolition in Burleson and the Fort Worth area. We tear down the house, break out the foundation and haul the debris off with our own roll-off trucks.
Garage demolition, shed removal and barn demolition are regular work for our crews in Burleson, TX. The house stays right where it is, and the structure out back comes down. We bring an excavator or a skid loader sized to your gate, and the debris drops into our own dumpsters. When the last load pulls out, the ground where it stood is graded flat.
Texas Best Demolition launched in late 2024, and decades of demolition and dirt work sit behind the company. About 20 people work here, on excavators from a compact Bobcat E88 up to a Kobelco 350. Three roll-off trucks and about 75 dumpsters belong to us, so debris leaves on our own schedule. Estimates are free and priced at the property, so tell us what needs to come down.

We take down detached garages, shops, storage sheds, barns and pole barns. Carports, wood decks, chimneys, lean-tos, well houses and old fence lines come out too. Wood frame, metal and block structures all come down with the same machines. A metal shed on bare ground and a block shop on a slab are both a short job. The slab under it can stay where it is, or we break it out and take it with us.
Your house stays standing for this work, and the crew keeps the machine away from it. Taking the whole lot down is different work, and that belongs to our house demolition crews. Everything we tear down here leaves in roll-off dumpsters we set on site. Our trucks carry the loads off as the work goes, so the yard stays clear. What is left when we pull off is open, level ground.
Access comes first, so we look at the gate width, the alley and the back of the lot. Power to the garage and gas to a shop have to be off before the machine starts. Tell us what stays, like a fence, a shade tree or a well house, and we flag it. Anything you want out of the building should come out before we get there. Then we size the machine to the opening we have to work through.
A Bobcat E88 or one of our skid loaders fits through a standard backyard gate. A barn out on acreage gets a bigger excavator, up to a Kobelco 270 or 350. Most small structures come down in a day, and the tin gets separated from the wood. Metal loads ride out on their own so the wood load stays clean. If the slab is going too, we break out the concrete and load it, then grade the spot flat.
Fort Worth handles a teardown with a wrecking and razing permit from Development Services. The city application has a residential line for an accessory structure, which covers a detached garage or a shed. Separate permits are required for each address and each structure being demolished, so the garage gets its own. The city also asks for the exact square footage and a site plan of the property. Where a lot holds more than one building, the site plan shows which one is being razed.
Utilities to the structure have to be off first, and in Fort Worth the contractor handles that verification. In Burleson, demolition is one of the classes of work on the city building permit application. Out on unincorporated Johnson County acreage, the county handles development and floodplain items instead. A lot of this work is in Fort Worth and the south side, where garages come down on tight lots. Rules change by address, so we check what yours needs before we set a start date.
Old barns are heavier work than they look from the road. The frames are heavy timber, and the poles under a pole barn sit deep in the ground. Our excavators pull those poles out whole instead of cutting them off at the dirt. Tin roofing comes off in sharp sheets, and hay, scrap iron and old equipment are usually still inside. Fuel tanks, grain bins and buried lines get their own plan before anything comes down.
Tell us which lumber, gates or sheets of tin you want kept, and we set them aside first. The rest leaves in our dumpsters and on our trailers, on the same trip as the frame. The pad under the barn gets graded flat, ready for a new building or for pasture. On acreage around Joshua and Johnson County, barns often sit in brush that has grown up around them. When cedar and mesquite have taken the fence line, clearing the brush and stumps runs on the same visit.
